From buzzword
to working systems.

I'm John Karygiannis, founder of Praxis Ab Machina, where I help enterprises turn AI from buzzword into working systems that actually ship and scale. I design and implement end-to-end AI solutions - from workflow discovery and architecture to integration with cloud, security, and line-of-business systems - with a strong focus on reliability, compliance, and real business outcomes.

My work spans hands-on AI implementations, enterprise AI integrations, and practical AI workshops that bring business, tech, and security stakeholders into the same room to align on use cases, risks, and deployment paths.

Drawing on my background in cloud security, automation, and managed services, I specialize in embedding AI agents and modern tooling into legal, media, and corporate environments in a way that is secure, observable, and maintainable over time.

01The problem

A studio shouldn't feel like a vendor.

Most automation work in 2026 lives at one of two extremes. Either you buy a platform with 400 features and configure your way to mediocrity, or you hire an agency that hands off in three months and disappears.

We watched too many ambitious teams - operators, founders, COOs - lose months to procurement cycles for tools they would never fully use, and another quarter trying to staff up after the agency left.

02The bet

Build the smallest reliable machine.

Praxis Ab Machina was founded on a small, stubborn bet: that a tightly-held studio of senior engineers, working close to a single client at a time, can ship more durable automation than a team three times the size.

Bespoke. Boring on purpose. Audited. Owned by you, not by us. Every system we hand back includes the keys, the diagrams, and a pager number you can actually reach.

Principals on every call.

The person who answers your first email is the person who writes your code, sits in your retrospectives, and stays on the pager. No account managers. No handoffs.

You own the keys.

Every system runs on your accounts, in your tenant, with your credentials. We hand back the diagrams, the runbooks, and the deploy access. We never become a single point of failure.

Boring beats clever.

If a webhook and a queue solve the problem, we ship a webhook and a queue. Models are tools, not destinations. The win is a workflow that runs at 3 a.m. without paging anyone.

Measure, then mark up.

Every engagement starts and ends with the same numbers: hours reclaimed, errors avoided, throughput shifted. If we can't move them, we don't bill for the next phase.
